10/31/05 Alyssa and I got a nice surprise today. Bill came home a day early, he had known for a month and didn't tell anyone. So, he got to go trick or treating with us at the Alerus center after all. I was talking to him on my cell phone then he asked can I go with you and just as he said that I saw him walking up to Mom and Dad's house. It was a nice surprise that way we didn't have to sit and wait for him and wonder what time is he going to get in?

That is great that bill was able to make it home for Halloween! I think its a military thing when they never tell you they get to come home early, it makes the homecoming so much better.
