First part of April 2015
April 4th...
This was the last day of sledding for us this year!!! Daniel was to tired to be in the picture. |
April 6-10 was the kid's official Spring Break...
April 6th was quite an interesting day for us. We headed to the Verona area in hopes to do some site seeing. Well, a two and a half hour drive took us six hours, so we only ended up going to Parco Natura Viva, which is a safari drive through and zoo. Due to it being an Italian holiday it was packed and we would have had to sit in the van another couple hours just to get through the safari part, so we decided to just skip it and just walk through the zoo, which took us exactly four and half hours to do. Just in time for closing up of the zoo!
We all had a great time!!! |
Tuesday the 7th we spent re-cooperating from our zoo day trip to Verona.
The 8th of April we spent checking out Lido di Jesolo Sea Life and decided to get season passes since it is only an hour from our house. They also have a pretty awesome beach in Jesolo too!!!
Relaxing on the beach!!! |
The 9th of April the plumber was at our house most of the day fixing the leaky shower, he had to come back the following day to finish up. That evening we all went to Kid's BINGO at the Club. Daniel was the big winner that night!
April 10th the kids colored Easter Eggs, Alyssa had a doctor's appt. for her arm, and we spent the afternoon at the Base Community Center!
April 11th the kids went to a Military Child Ice Cream Social and then we all went to see Cinderella at the Base Theater!
The 13th to the 17th was the Spring Bookfair at the kids school! I was able to help out a couple days, along with my Dave Ramsey class and bringing the kids to baseball on Tuesday and Thursday and Bible Studies on Wednesday mornings and evenings!
The 15th I was able to chaperon Hannah's Class Field trip to IS Science Center-Interactive Museum, it was a great learning experience for the kids!
I will catch you up to current at a later time, for now I am off to bed!!! I hope you are enjoying our blog!!!

Edelweiss Lodge and Resort Garmish, Germany!!!
http://www.edelweisslodgeandresort.com/ If you have never been to Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, I would highly recommend going, it is only a little over five hours from Aviano. It is very relaxing and there is a lot of do in the local area! Pictures are from March 2015! |
The outdoor hot tub! There is also a pool, it's not big, but it works. Saunas in both the men and women's locker rooms, the option of getting a massage and so much more! |

This was the highlight of our mini vacation to Germany. We all learned a lot. |
They do not recommend that small children come here, so we had to do a lot of explaining to the kids before arriving and as we went through the museum. |
Living quarters. |
